Reporters learned on an Air Force One visit an interesting revelation made by Trump. We don’t know if this is a brilliant or stupid tactic, but he said he is open to Trump Jr. testifying in the Russian investigation.
Air Force Comments
On Wednesday night reporters were traveling on Air Force One and asked Trump if he supported his son testifying in the investigation. Trump replied with “If he wants to.” The comment comes after Congress signaled they would probably call on Trump Jr. to testify after he disclosed emails about the Russian lawyer meeting. The president made several comments that night on their trip to Paris. The comments were initially ruled as off-the-record but then on Thursday, the White House agreed to put only “excerpts” of the comments on record after Trump said he wanted them publicized. Only “excerpts” huh? Sounds like he was spinning his “fake news” web to us. Trump made comments saying that healthcare was was tougher than peace in the Middle East, “I’d say the only thing more difficult than peace between Israel and the Palestinians is health care. It’s like this narrow road that about a quarter of an inch wide.” What kind of comment is that?
Trump thinks the media has been unfair to his son:
“Don is — as many of you know Don — he’s a good boy. He’s a good kid. And he had a meeting, nothing happened with the meeting. It was a short meeting, as he told me — because I only heard about it two or three days ago. Honestly, in a world of politics, most people are going to take that meeting. If somebody called and said, ‘Hey’ — and you’re a Democrat — and by the way, they have taken them — ‘Hey, I have … some information on Donald Trump. You’re running against Donald Trump. Can I see you?’ I mean, how many people are not going to take the meeting?”
No Trump, it’s not normal to take supposed information from other countries just to incriminate someone. That’s illegal buddy.
