It caught us by surprise when Kid Rock announced he would be running for Senate in Michigan. After a new poll conducted by Delphi Analytica, this surprises us even more.
Kid Rock Is Winning
The results of their poll are one of the most stunning in recent polling history. Voters were asked in a poll to choose between Robert Ritchie, aka Kid Rock, and incumbent Michigan Senator Debbie Stabenow. 54% chose Kid Rock while 46% chose Stabenow. Among all the voters, 44% were undecided. Kis Rock is known for his music revolving around sex, drugs, prostitutes, strippers, among other horrible things.
Ritchie has enough against him for an opponent to use including his assault of a DJ at a Nashville strip club, his divorce from Pamela Anderson, and his awkward stance on gay marriage. During a Rolling Stones interview, he spoke of his basically hatred for Beyoncé, “I like skinny white chicks with big tits” and at the New Yorker interview he talked about gay marriage and stated, “I don’t give a fuck if gay people get married. I don’t love anybody who acts like a fuckin’ faggot.”
None of his statements and past issues have stopped him from running for Senate in 2018. His website, kidrockforsenate.com, links to merchandise and he also just released two new singles from his upcoming album. We are praying that he’s not serious and all of this is just a publicity stunt to sell more albums. Not that he needs it since he’s donated over 7-figures to charity. He says he’s a man of the people with having concert ticket prices at $20 so working class people can attend. He’s also met Mitt Romney and gave him his endorsement saying Romney was “the most decent motherfucker I’ve ever met.”
Dennis Lennox had something to say on the campaign stating, “Presuming Kid Rock doesn’t get caught in bed with a little boy, or beat up a woman between now and August 2018, he’s going to win the nomination if he gets in. I think there’s no question about that. I think he’s the prohibitive favorite if he gets in.”
Many GOP have endorsed him saying he’s going to shake things up and anyone who writes him off is a “mistake.” Oh no. No, no, it’s not a mistake. For anyone who’s seen his music video for his new single “Podunk” we are nowhere near making a mistake for not voting for him. Michiganders, do you really want a Senator who endorses harmful drugs, prostitution, shooting people, doorbells made out of skunk bums, and 15 year-olds getting pregnant and smoking cigarettes? Because all of that is in his new video.
