Bannon Slams Romney For Avoiding Vietnam But Forgets Trump Is A Draft-Dodger

Donald Trump’s favorite white supremacist, Steve Bannon, went to Alabama to campaign for Roy Moore and made a complete fool of himself.

As we all know, Moore has been accused of sexual assault by at least nine women, one of whom was only 14-years-old at the time of the abuse.

Initially, many Republicans called on Moore to step aside. And then Trump threw his support behind Moore and caused many to reverse themselves.

Mitt Romney, however, had the guts to slam his party for continuing to support Moore.

The former Republican presidential nominee is considering a Senate run himself in Utah, and he had this to say on Twitter earlier this week.

On Tuesday, Bannon lashed out at Romney while campaigning for Moore.

“Judge Roy Moore has more honor and integrity in that pinky finger than your entire family has in its whole DNA,” Bannon said of Romney. “You hid behind your religion. You went to France to be a missionary while guys were dying in rice paddies in Vietnam. Do not talk to me about honor and integrity,” he said, referencing Romney’s Mormon faith.

Here’s the video via YouTube.

That’s funny. Because while “guys were dying in rice paddies,” Donald Trump was busy getting multiple draft deferments. And then his rich daddy got a doctor to declare Trump unfit for service because of alleged bone spurs.

In other words, Trump dodged the draft during Vietnam and Bannon helped him become president. But he has the gall to criticize Romney for not fighting in the war.

Bannon also took shots at Romney’s sons for not serving in the military even though none of Trump’s children have ever served either.

Trump has even insulted Vietnam veterans by attacking John McCain for being captured during the war and once referred to his sexual escapades as his own “personal Vietnam” because he risked getting an STD.

This is the very definition of hypocrisy, and Bannon should be ashamed of himself.

Bannon also argued that Moore deserves support because he served during Vietnam. Moore served as a military police officer during the war, and he was hated by the men who served under him because he was reckless.

Officers in the field were not supposed to require salutes because the enemy would have an easier time targeting them. His insistence that his men salute him put his and their safety at serious risk. This is not the kind of leader Americans need in the Senate.

Meanwhile, McCain was shot down during the war and was brutally tortured to the point where he has been physically disabled ever since. Moore came home and began preying on underage girls. Apparently, Bannon and Trump hold that disgusting activity in high regard.

It should also be pointed out that Bannon himself never served in Vietnam, even though he was old enough to do so 1971, two years before U.S. military involvement came to an end. Bannon didn’t serve in the military until after the war was over.
