President Trump absolutely loves Fox News. And Fox News is only too happy to slobber all over Trump, no matter what he does.
Back in December, the president heaped praise on his favorite Fox show, Fox & Friends:
Was @foxandfriends just named the most influential show in news? You deserve it – three great people! The many Fake News Hate Shows should study your formula for success!

Just this week, Trump hired a longtime Fox News contributor, John Bolton, to be his National Security Adviser. And Trump has also gotten other members of his administration from the ranks of on-air personalities and guests who appear on Fox.
All of this led Bill Maher to conclude on his show Friday evening that while Trump may have the title of president, it certainly looks like Fox News is actually steering the ship of state:
“It’s scary how much Trump takes his cues from Fox News.”
It has been proven on numerous occasions that Trump does indeed start tweeting about issues shortly after they’re featured on Fox. While they may have state media in Russia under Vladimir Putin, Maher noted, we have our own form of it right here in the United States:
“Putin has state TV, but Putin’s not an idiot. So state TV does what Putin wants. I think it’s the other way in this country.”
Then, with a line that should give all of us pause, Maher half-jokingly declared:
“I think we’re being … America’s being run by Steve Doocy.”
As frightening as the thought of Fox & Friends co-host Steve Doocy running the country is, ask yourself a question: Could Doocy do any worse of a job than the overgrown infant who currently occupies the Oval Office?
