Trump and Huckabee Sanders have both said there is no chaos in the White House, and her pre-schoolers are harder to handle. We highly doubt that, but that doesn’t take away from the fact Trump dictated his son’s speech about the Russian lawyer meeting.
Trump Says ‘No Chaos’
On a fine Monday morning, Trump decided to tweet that all was right with the world.
A great day at the White House!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 31, 2017
That tweet was the epitome of fake news since the White House was full of more turmoil and dysfunction than a soap opera. Not only was Scaramucci fired, but Trump also intervened in his son’s response to the Russian lawyer meeting. It was Trump’s idea for little Donny Jr. to say the meeting was focused on Russian adoption when Trump wasn’t even at the meeting…as far as we know. This comes reported from the Washington Post and White House advisers have told the Post they worry that the direction of Trump Jr.’s response, Trump may have put himself at legal risk. Like he isn’t in enough legal risk already that is being ignored by Conservatives.
Trump Is At Risk
“This was..unnecessary.” A White House adviser told the Washington Post. “Now someone can claim he’s the one who attempted to mislead. Somebody can argue the president is saying he doesn’t want you to say the whole truth.” Can claim? Sorry but we’ve already known that. Trump’s team initially planned to give a truthful account of the meeting, which your obviously supposed to do, but on the way back from the G-20 Summit in Germany, Trump stepped in. If that isn’t enough evidence that Putin has his hands in America, we don’t know what will convince the idiots. It was evidence enough that something was amiss when the very next day after his statement Trump Jr. changed his explanation as to why the meeting took place.
Scaramucci’s been fired, Trump attacks his own Attorney General, endorses police brutality, tells little boys at the Boy Scout Jamboree to get a yacht and they’ll get more pussy, and Republicans go against the health care repeal? Oh yeah, The ‘American Dream’ week is off to such a great start.
