Rev. Jesse Jackson is on a roll this week with condemning Trump and his actions. He even stated Trump won’t get into heaven with the way he’s acting.
Would Not Get Into Jesus’ Kingdom
Jesse Jackson is not only a Reverend but also a prominent civil rights activist. Rev. Jackson said this week that the Electoral College “must come down” and warned Trump that’s going to have trouble making it into heaven because of his views on immigrants. Jackson stated that Trump demands people to “speak English, be qualified and have a job skill.”
“Jesus would not qualify to come in Trump’s country, he would not qualify to get into Jesus’ kingdom,” Jackson said, going on to quote the Book of Matthew’s passage about helping the underprivileged.
He also called for reminders of the Confederacy to be removed from public view, adding that “the statues must come down.”
He added that the Electoral College needs to be abolished because it interferes with the ability for one person to have a vote in a democracy. Funnily enough though, Jackson praised Trump in the early 90s. He even mentioned how Trump attended business meetings when Jackson was running for president in the 80s. Check out the two videos below of Jackson’s speeches. the top one is the latest one and the bottom one is taken from C-SPAN in 1998.
