Some big news has come out of New Hampshire this weekend, and it’s not from an NH Democrat. Rep. Maxine Waters of California said she’ll run for President.
“If Millennials Want Me To”
Waters told The Daily Caller on Thursday that her scheduled appearance in New Hampshire this weekend has nothing to do with a potential run for the presidency in 2020. But, she said she would run if the Millennials want her to. “I’m just going up to do a county Democratic thing. That’s all,” she stated. When they pressed her further for information, Waters replied with, “I’m not running for anything but my own seat. I don’t have any presidential aspirations. If the millennials want me to do it, I’d do it, though.”
Waters has previously called for Trump’s impeachment and a very outspoken critic of our current orange leader. “Mr. Speaker, my position against this president and his administration is clear. I oppose this president. I do not honor this president. I do not respect this president.” She said during a floor speech.
Waters is set to be in New Hampshire on Sunday for a picnic scheduled at Miller Farm in New Durham with the members of the Strafford County Democratic Committee.
