Mexico Offers Help To Texas

Mexico proves to be better people than Trump will ever be. The Mexican government has offered aid to the U.S. in helping the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Mexico Stands With Texas

Mexico certainly doesn’t stand with Trump, but at least they stand with Texas. The Mexican Foreign Minister Luis Videgaray spoke with Governor Greg Abbott on Sunday evening to offer aid “as good neighbors should always do in trying times.”

“As we have done in the past, Mexico stands with Texas in this difficult moment,” said Carlos Gonzalez Gutierrez, the Mexican consul general in Austin.

“The government of Mexico takes this opportunity to express its full solidarity with the people and government of the United States for the damages caused by Hurricane Harvey in Texas,” the Mexican Secretariat of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

And yet Trump still wants that wall and says Mexicans are horrible violent immigrants. Over the weekend Harvey dumped 25 inches of rain on Houston and more is expected to come as the hurricane dies out. Harvey caused massive flooding and evacuations which resulted in deaths. What has just recently been brought up is the fact Mexico also helped out with Hurricane Katrina in 2005 where they sent troops, food, and water to New Orleans.

Honey Badger Trump Don’t Care

While the storm raged and destroyed Texas, the president decided to stay safely holed up in the White House and, while probably sitting on the toilet, starting tweeting harmful and uncalled for tweets at Mexico. Didn’t your parents teach you not to bite the hand that feeds you? Trump, rather than thanking Mexico for their assistance, tweeted that they will pay for the border wall and said they are being “very difficult” in NAFTA negotiations.

Mexican officials responded to Trump saying the country will not pay for a wall as ” principle of national sovereignty and dignity.” After all, if Trump builds the wall then how can Mexico send aid for more natural disasters? Guess he didn’t think that one through. Mexico also put Trump in his place by saying they will not renegotiate a deal through social media, which is the proper thing to do. Mexico also responded to Trump’s accusations on violence in the country saying it will “only end if its root causes are addressed: high demand for drugs in the United States and supply from Mexico (and other countries).”

Way to go Mexico! Show that pendejo who’s boss!
