Nobel Prize Winners Are Getting the Cold Shoulder

The American Nobel Prize is one of the highest honors anyone can receive. It only makes sense that the President of the United States would meet with these intelligent and honorable laureates.

Well, it turns out they must have too much intelligence and poise for Trump to handle since he has decided he will not meet with the Nobel Prize winners this year. The president has been meeting with the laureates since 2001, a 16-year tradition. Of course, it would be Trump to break this long-standing tradition.

Two Nobel Prize winners have stated that they would not meet with Trump anyway, and would not attend an event at the White House even if there were one. Columbia biophysicist Joachim Frank said he was “relieved” he wouldn’t have to meet our current POTUS.

“I will not put my foot into the White House as long as Trump, [Vice President] Pence, or [Speaker Paul] Ryan (i.e., the possible succession of impeachments) will occupy it,” Frank told Stat.

“I cannot speak for the others; don’t know them personally yet, but I strongly believe that as thinking intelligent people they will have a similar attitude as I.”

Way to go Frank, we’re with you on that.

The reason Trump gave for not visiting these prestigious people is due to “foreign travel” since he has been in Asia for the past 12 days. He is expected to return to the U.S. Tuesday afternoon. Bummer they didn’t leave him in North Korea for “Rocket Man” to have fun with.

The White House has decided to send Michael Kratsios, Trump’s top political appointee in the Office of Science and Technology Policy, to attend a reception Tuesday at the Swedish Embassy in D.C. It’s fine Trump, continue to make yourself look like a fool and better President Obama in every way.
