Senator Brian Schatz typically speaks out against Trump, as any Democrat should. On Tuesday after the press conference, Sen. Schatz said some words that are even very strongly emotional for him.
Not My President
Senator Schatz tweeted a strong response to Trump’s conference and it has people in love.
As a Jew, as an American, as a human, words cannot express my disgust and disappointment. This is not my President.

Schatz borrowed a popular phrase coined by the grassroots political resistance with Not My President. In February, thousands of people took to the streets all over the nation to mark “Not My Presidents Day” on the federally observed President’s Day. Lawmakers have the right and constantly express their disagreement with a president but rarely do they express their views on the president’s legitimacy. During the press conference, Trump took back what he said about condemning Neo-Nazis and the KKK.
“You had a group on one side who was bad, and you had a group on the other side that was also very violent, and nobody wants to say that, but I’ll say it right now,” Trump said Tuesday.
“You have people who are very fine people on both sides,” he added.
Many lawmakers have reacted to his rude and tasteless speech.
The President of the United States just defended neo-Nazis and blamed those who condemn their racism and hate. This is sick.

Rep. Maxine Waters also condemned his comments on an MSNBC interview with ‘The Beat With Ari’
