Donald Trump is going to be so pissed.
The Department of Defense appeared to speak up against sexual harassment on Thursday by retweeting a post calling for Alabama GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore to step down from the race. The post also called for Senator Al Franken to resign, even though he has called for an investigation against himself. The post also called for Donald Trump to resign.
“GOP: Stop making sexual assault a partisan issue. It’s a crime as is your hypocrisy,” the post concluded.
And that was apparently too far for the Pentagon. So, the quickly deleted the retweet, which is preserved on social media for all to see.

A Department of Defense spokeswoman swiftly declared the whole thing one giant mistake.
An authorized operator of the @DeptofDefense’s official Twitter site erroneously retweeted content that would not be endorsed by the Department of Defense. The operator caught this error and immediately deleted it.

Except that the retweet was totally appropriate. After all, several women detailed how Trump sexually assaulted them during the 2016 campaign. Trump was also accused of raping a 13-year-old girl and was the subject of a civil suit over it.
Several women had also accused Roy Moore of sexually abusing them when they were teens.
Franken’s action was against an adult, and it is clear that he thought he was just being funny. There was no intent to actually commit assault or harassment. Franken is the only one who can probably truthfully say that he made an error in judgment.
At any rate, Twitter users mocked the Department of Defense for backing down.
But the POTUS committed sexual assault against 13 women. He even admitted he does it. So that’s not worthy of respect. This isn’t an authoritarian regime, there’s no requirement to praise “dear leader”
You want that? Move to North Korea.

Yeah, deleting that was a gigantic error in judgement.

You should give the person a raise for telling the truth, that’s something that seems to be missing in the government.

Of course, right-wingers are calling for the operator who posted the retweet to be fired as they continue to support sexual predators like Trump and Moore. If you’re going to fire someone over a truthful tweet, there needs to be a lot more firing going on in Washington. If anything, this incident revealed just how hypocritical Trump supporters are.
