Trump Calls Jeff Sessions ‘DISGRACEFUL’ In Wednesday Morning Rage Tweet

No matter what he does, Attorney General Jeff Sessions simply cannot please his boss, President Trump.

On Tuesday, Sessions announced that the internal watchdog of the Department of Justice, the Inspector General, would open an inquiry into whether or not the FBI followed the proper procedures for surveillance orders under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) during the Obama administration. Sessions told reporters:

“We believe the Department of Justice must adhere to the highest standards in the FISA court, and yes, it will be investigated, and I think that’s just the appropriate thing.”

You’d  also think that would be good news to the president and his GOP allies in Congress who have been saying for months that former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page was improperly under surveillance for his multiple trips to Russia during the 2016 race.

But instead, Trump rage tweeted directly at Sessions on Wednesday morning, firing off this:

This isn’t the first time the president has attacked his own AG. He has also called him “beleaguered” and “weak” for not doing enough to investigate the use of a private email server by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Trump has also expressed his frustration that Sessions recused himself from overseeing the investigation into the 2016 election and possible connections to Russia being conducted by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is under the supervision of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who has also been criticized by Trump.

There was no shortage of pushback to Trump’s angry tweet, and many on social media reminded Trump of his own legal problems:

Trump is clearly worried about something. And that something goes by the name of Robert Mueller.
