Trump is Losing It- Forgets Paul Ryan’s Name Twice in One Speech! Signs of Dementia?

Paul Ryan & Donald Trump

Last week, Trump was confused about where he had sent 59 Tomahawk missiles, telling reporters that he had sent them to Iraq before the interviewer corrected him and informed our president that he had actually sent them to Syria.

Not to mention his recent gaffe confusing the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-Un, with his late father who has been dead since 2011.

Now Trump has really outdone himself, confusing House Speaker Paul Ryan, one of his most vocal critics with on the Republican side, with Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson.  Trump not only gaffed once, he mistakenly switched the two twice in the same speech.

While speaking about his “Buy American, Hire American” executive order Trump steered off course into addressing NATO,  the multinational military alliance that Trump once called for America to withdraw from.  Oddly enough, Trump has now flip-flopped on his previous stance, embracing the organization.

While making a joke about how Paul Ryan had a good excuse for not being at the speech, which happened in the speaker’s home state of Wisconsin, Trump said the following:

My thanks go to Speaker Ryan, who’s represented this city for nearly two decades in Congress, and you know where he is? He’s with NATO. So he has a good excuse. So I said, “Ron, make sure these countries to start paying their bills a little bit more, you know—they’re way, way behind, Ron.”

Trump was referencing other countries financial contributions to NATO, but switched “Ryan” with “Ron.”

Quickly realizing he had made a mistake, Trump pointed out to Sen. Johnson, as if he was trying to clear the air.  Reverting the correct names he followed with this statement:

I’m going to talk to you about that, Ron. But Paul, you’re over with NATO, get them to pay their bills. And Ron, you’ll have to work on that too.

This this a case of Trump being Trump?  Or is there something seriously wrong going on here?  We all know that he is unfit to serve as our Commander in Chief, maybe the rest of America and Congress will start to take note.
