For as much as Trump hates leaks and fake news, he certainly spreads it around a lot himself. Early Tuesday morning he shared Fox & Friends tweet that reported North Korea was loading up cruise missiles. And where did that information come from? Anonymous sources.
Attacking Leaks Based On Leaks
The president tweeted a shared article from Fox & Friends which says that U.S. spy agencies detected North Korea “the rogue communist regime loading two anti-ship cruise missiles on a patrol boat on the country’s east coast just days ago.”

The report cites anonymous sources within the U.S.’ intelligence community. Jeff Sessions announced that the DOJ is considering stricter measures to prevent White House leaks. But obviously, if the president accepts the leak it’s perfectly ok.
UN Ambassador Nikki Haley said on Tuesday that the report contains “classified information.” “I can’t talk about anything that’s classified. And if that’s in the newspaper that’s a shame. I have no reason to comment on it.” So basically Trump is trying to control what he considers a leak.
North Korean Tweets
Trump also tweeted about the new sanctions placed on North Korea.
After many years of failure, countries are coming together to finally address the dangers posed by North Korea. We must be tough & decisive!

His tweet comes after the UN imposed the sanctions in retaliation for their ballistic missile testing. not that it will matter, Kim Jong Un will just continue doing whatever it is he wants to do. North Korea vowed to respond to the sanctions, and not in a good way, saying they are a “violent infringement of its sovereignty.” So little Kimmy is mad that we’re taking action against his dictatorship. Good luck with that.
