Trump Responds to Latest North Korea Antics

We haven’t exactly done anything to provoke North Korea this time after the Jong-Un-Trump stand-off, but Kim Jong-Un is now in for a world of trouble. On Monday, North Korea decided to fire a missile over Japan’s airspace.

Trump Releases Statement to North Korea

Trump said in a statement that he reads North Korea’s message “loud and clear.”

“This regime has signaled its contempt for its neighbors, for all members of the United Nations, and for minimum standards of acceptable international behavior,” Trump said. “Threatening and destabilizing actions only increase the North Korean regime’s isolation in the region and among all nations of the world. All options are on the table.”

The Pentagon confirmed late on Monday that North Korea did fire the missile. “We are still in the process of assessing this launch.” officials said. In our eyes, what is there to process? Kim Jong-Un wants war and he said it “loud and clear” with a missile.

“North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) determined the missile launch from North Korea did not pose a threat to North America. We are working closely with Pacific Command, Strategic Command and NORAD and will provide an update as soon as possible.”

The White House early Tuesday said Trump discussed the missile during a call with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Monday.

“The two leaders agreed that North Korea poses a grave and growing direct threat to the United States, Japan, and the Republic of Korea, as well as to countries around the world,” the White House said. “President Trump and Prime Minister Abe committed to increasing pressure on North Korea, and doing their utmost to convince the international community to do the same.”

We don’t know about anyone else but this is a massive “come at me, bro” action Kim Jong-Un is doing. We can only hope that the Japanese Prime Minister is able to shoot down the missiles if they start to travel near the U.S. and we don’t spiral into World War 3.
