Twitter Roasts Trump Jr. For Posting Daddy’s Taco Bowl Tweet To Celebrate Cinco De Mayo

Remember when President Donald Trump pandered to Hispanics in 2016 by posting a racist image of himself eating a taco bowl on Cinco de Mayo? Yeah, his son Donald Trump Jr. just reminded everyone of that cringe-worthy moment.

In a desperate effort to get Hispanics to vote for him, Trump posted this:

Trump received a lot of criticism over the tweet and it didn’t help at the ballot box as 66 percent of Hispanics voted for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton compared to a dismal 28 percent for Trump.

And given Trump’s attacks on DACA recipients, immigrants, Mexico, and his deportation policies since taking office, it definitely is not a good time for anyone associated with Trump to remind us of how racist he is.

But that’s what Trump Jr. did on Saturday when he called his daddy’s taco bowl picture “the greatest tweet of all time” and reshared it.

If Trump really cared about Hispanics he would reinstate DACA and call off his deportation squads. He would also keep the Temporary Protection Status program alive instead of ending it for 400,000 people, including 57,000 Hondurans who have lived here for over 20 years.

But Trump still refers to Hispanic immigrants as violent criminals and rapists who are “breeding” in this country.

Trump Jr. may have gotten a laugh out of his father’s racism, but Twitter users sure didn’t and they promptly took him to the woodshed for it.

Trump Jr. and his dad should both be ashamed of themselves, and Hispanics should make sure they vote en masse on Election Day this November and in 2020 to teach both of them a lesson.
