Remember when President Donald Trump pandered to Hispanics in 2016 by posting a racist image of himself eating a taco bowl on Cinco de Mayo? Yeah, his son Donald Trump Jr. just reminded everyone of that cringe-worthy moment.
In a desperate effort to get Hispanics to vote for him, Trump posted this:
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 5, 2016
Trump received a lot of criticism over the tweet and it didn’t help at the ballot box as 66 percent of Hispanics voted for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton compared to a dismal 28 percent for Trump.
And given Trump’s attacks on DACA recipients, immigrants, Mexico, and his deportation policies since taking office, it definitely is not a good time for anyone associated with Trump to remind us of how racist he is.
But that’s what Trump Jr. did on Saturday when he called his daddy’s taco bowl picture “the greatest tweet of all time” and reshared it.
Perhaps the greatest tweet of all time. He’s right though, it’s really good. 😂😂😂 https://t.co/5faUNesc8k

If Trump really cared about Hispanics he would reinstate DACA and call off his deportation squads. He would also keep the Temporary Protection Status program alive instead of ending it for 400,000 people, including 57,000 Hondurans who have lived here for over 20 years.
But Trump still refers to Hispanic immigrants as violent criminals and rapists who are “breeding” in this country.
Trump Jr. may have gotten a laugh out of his father’s racism, but Twitter users sure didn’t and they promptly took him to the woodshed for it.
You and your dad (.@realDonaldTrump “) are an insult to not only my race but all of them. Does he (or you) even know what Cinco de Mayo is and what it’s about? I’ll tell you one thing for sure, it’s not about no damm taco bowl.

How does it feel to be made of nothing but hair gel and spite?

The greatest tweet of all time? Man you’re an idiot.

It will be better in jail when you are eating out of a bowl on some dude’s lap as he braids your hair

This is the dumbest tweet I’ve ever seen. So because he eats a taco once in a while, with ingredients probably shipped from China, cooked by a chef who’s definitely not Hispanic, that taco is suppose to forgive his attacks on minorities everywhere?
— Dan Bringhurst (@DanBringhurst) May 5, 2018
If there was a Hispanic chef at TT, he’d spit into the center of that taco bowl.

Greatest tweet of all time was “I’m Don Jr, I cheated on my wife yet I’m still talking for some reason”
— Electorotting (@electorot) May 5, 2018
I had to check three times to make sure this wasn’t from @RealDonaldTrFan. This tweet is sickening on so many levels. At the highest level it shows how truly out of touch these guys are.
— Forever Ops (@bit_head) May 5, 2018
Only you would possibly think it’s a good idea to retweet this. It wasn’t enough of an embarrassment the first time? No wonder your father can’t stand you.
— Tod (With One D) (@Tod_With_One_D) May 5, 2018
Trump Jr. and his dad should both be ashamed of themselves, and Hispanics should make sure they vote en masse on Election Day this November and in 2020 to teach both of them a lesson.
