Some on the right just love to try and denigrate liberals and progressives by calling them “snowflakes,” using the word like a weapon against anyone who disagrees with them. But as Fox News host Laura Ingraham proved Wednesday on her show, it’s conservatives who can’t stand to be criticized or mocked.
During a discussion of immigration and sanctuary cities with Enrique Morones of the pro-immigration group Border Angels and John Cox, a California GOP gubernatorial candidate, Morones dared to mention he had never heard of Cox, which led Ingraham to whine:
“Enrique, I just want to tell you, God bless you, I mean, I really wish the best for you, but you’ve been so incredibly rude and nasty almost since the first second of this appearance.”
If there’s one thing Ingraham is an expert on, it’s being incredibly rude and nasty, since she specializes in both. For her to accuse Morones of the same is the height of hypocrisy.
Morones, however, had the perfect comeback for Ingraham, asking:
“Where’s your sponsors? David Hogg got rid of half of them. A high school kid shut you down.”
As the camera cut away from Morones, Ingraham told her other guest:
“Poor Enrique is trying to make waves. The sad thing is this is how the left operates.”
That led Ingraham to go on rant, declaring:
“It’s very important for people watching the show tonight to understand that what just happened with a rabid pro-illegal immigration activist — and he is that, but we still invited him on, because it’s fun to have a spirited debate — but what you just saw… [is] the attempt of the left to demonize those with whom they disagree.”
Snowflake much, Ms. Ingraham?
